SEATING
Intimate wooden tables that can be pushed together for large groups. Plenty of room but still cozy. Busy takeout business in lobby.
AMBIENCE/CLIENTELE
Romantic, but singles-friendly; a diverse crowd discussing art, music, child rearing, travel, deep emotions, and SNL. A soothing,
sparse setting, with fish mural, green lanterns, tribal masks, glowing candles; soft, empowering chick-folk music on the sound system. Expect a wait during the peak dinner hours.
Extras/Notes
JP Seafood started up the street, where Hi-Fi Records now stands, as a simple fish counter that also ran a takeout business. When word got out about the quality fish, business boomed and eventually they had to relocate to the present, spacious locale. Sadly, you can no longer get a pound of salmon for tonight's
dinner, but you can take yourself out for a classy, cheap lunch.
