POPULAR DISH
Pizza, calzones, subs, wraps, pasta, seafood, and an impressive selection of fried side dishes (fried mushrooms, fried ravioli, chicken wings, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, jalepeno poppers, etc.)
UNIQUE DISH
Expect delicious, cheesy, and satisfying pizzas. All the traditional favorites are here, but an intriguing variety of specialty pizzas ensure the experience is never boring. The Pizzagra (pesto, extra cheese, ginger, red onions, strawberries, chocolate, artichoke hearts and roasted red peppers), billed as an "aphrodisiac" pizza, is shockingly good. The Baked Ziti pizza (actual baked ziti cooked on
top of a pizza) is another unexpected treat. Other popular pizzas include BBQ Chicken, Hawaiian, Philly Steak, Meat Lovers, Buffalo, Tuna Ranch, the Merengue, the Stuffed Pizza, the Artichoke,
and the Taco Pizza. There are plenty of veggie options, including the Primo Vegetarian (pesto, extra cheese, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, garlic, caramelized onions, and roasted red peppers) and the Greek (sauce, fresh tomatoes, extra cheese, garlic, pepperoncinis, red onions, olives, olive oil, feta and mushrooms). Complete your pizza
feast with the scrumptious Apple Pie Pizza (sliced apples, butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar)
DRINKS
Soda, juice, coffee
SEATING
Plenty of room to sit, but most get take-out or order delivery.
AMBIENCE/CLIENTELE
On the surface, Upham's feels like any other unassuming neighborhood pizza place. The clientele, composed mainly of those who live or work in the area, come for the food, not the
ambience.
Extras/Notes
Upham's is almost always running at a frantic pace, so be prepared to order quickly or be left behind. On another note, owner Georgio Papadopoulos also runs the more upscale Seven 50 Grille around the corner on Dudley St.
